The Rustic Bahamian RESTAURANT FarmHouse bistro

Have you ever just decided to grab a quick bite to eat to a friend?

Well, that’s just what happened to me the other day. Theeee coolest rustic restaurant…according to me anyway Farmhouse Bistro!

So yesterday my friend and I went to an impromptu lunch at a little rustic hole-in-the-wall place in Nassau, Bahamas. Calling it a hole in the wall may be a little much seeing as it is apparently pretty well-known butttt I would most definitely continue to call it that. It is on a main road, Market Street but tucked away on a corner. Farmhouse Bistro went beyond my expectations!

The decor was delightful and very much on them…very rustic. I LOVED IT, take a quick look!

It just so happened that the time in which we went to the rustic restaurant, Farmhouse Bistro it was empty. Was that a testament to the great service we received? I’m not sure but I won’t complain. The server took their time, explaining the menu and answering all the questions we had from drink choices to the food menu never showing any attitude or judgment toward us. Which I really appreciate because it’s not always true that you get great service in the Bahamas especially when you’re a local.

How was the food at farmhouse bistro?

Okay yes, we get it the rustic “farmhouse bistro” vibe, the scenery was great but lets get down to what we really care about….the food! I give presentation and taste BONUS points! I added the pictures below what do you think?

I had the pork dish to the left which included cajun dirty rice, roasted veg, and apple spiced pickliz. Now if you’re wondering what pickles is, it’s that little white dish in the picture on the left. From my understanding, it is a Haitian dish with carrots and cabbage as the base; it tasted great with a bit of kick! and that my friend is the extent of my knowledge of pickliz.

On the right you will see the chicken and mushroom dish which I did not eat but the friend that I was with did. Now according to her, if you’re a cheese lover you will loveeee this because she said it was awesome! and I trust her taste buds despite her being a lover of cheese. She did point out though that it was very hot and even burned her tongue a little but she kept eating because it was just that good!

What Sets the rustic Bahamian restaurant farmhouse bistro over the top?

The restroom. I honestly dread public restrooms so much that I try not to use them unless absolutely necessary and It was necessary! Because if you’re anything like me or have kids the bladder is small! So you will have to tinkle. The restroom is a shared space between males and females (if that matters to you). But what made it stand out was it functional and clean!

I’ve noticed that lots of places tend to work on the outer part of their business because not many people use restrooms when they go out so you go in there ready to burst and you have to then decide. “Do I want to hold this and possibly get a bladder infection or will I take a risk, stoop over the toilet in the most uncomfortable position, and let it out?”

So when I go to any restaurant or business establishment and the restrooms are clean! You are most definitely going to have a repeat customer. Which is what I plan to be at Farm House Bistro

THANK YOU Farm Farmhouse Bistro! you nailed the rustic look! the vibes were spectacular and the restroom was clean. what more could I ask for?
