How to Identify Your Goals
In order to accurately identify your goals you must first figure out what matters to you. What do you find exciting? Or what do you rely on for motivation to keep going when things get tough? Do you have any activities or extra curriculars that you find enjoyable or fulfilling? What about legacy? Do you want your life to be impactful? Do you want to make a difference? By aliging your goals with things that you are passionate about, core values, interest and hobbies you are more likely to sit with that goal and see it though to the end. This is because you already have a tie to it.
Specific Areas of Focus
Consider different aspects of life that you would like to grow. Be it career; by advancing in your job, switching industries, or even starting a business. If you are carrer or money oriented, or maybe even philotrophic. You would want to push to be able to achieve that. Most like the goal here is higher earnings. Maybe you want o improve your health; by improving your overall fitness, maybe adopting a healthier diet, or prioritizing mental wellness. You would want to get in the gym or maybe have some quiet time or find a hobby, even cook more meals at home. These are all steps you can take to help with physical and mental heath. They both count toward your over all well being. A popular one would be personal development; maybe you want to learning a new skill like karate or even a foreign language, or how about improving your self confidence something many people struggle with, or even strengthening relationships that may have fell by the way side with the busy life we lead.
By clarifying or focusuing on one area at a time you you have more success than by spreading yourself thin. Start small and work your way up to where you want to be. As you get more comfortable or start achieving milestones in one area you can start incorporating other goal in.
